Deadline: 11.59 hours on Wednesday 1 June 2016.
The 2016 Festival of Firsts’ Photographic Competition is coordinated by Hoylake Photographic Society. The Competition is free to enter and open to everyone, except members of the Hoylake Photographic Society and the Wirral Festival of Firsts Volunteer Photographers’ Team.
There is one Winner’s Prize of £100 and two Runners-Up prizes of £25 each. Prize-winning photos and up to 10 short-listed photos will be exhibited as a digital slide show on the Festival website from 4th July 2016. The Winner and Two Runners Up will be notified by Monday 4th July at the latest, and invited to attend a prize giving on Friday 8th July.
Each competing photographer may enter up to 3 digital images. The closing date for entries is 11.59 hours on Wednesday 1st June 2016.
Digital images submitted to the competition should relate to the broad theme “Water” and must be produced by and be the original, unpublished work of the competing photographer, who also must own the copyright, and must not have won or been runner up in any previous competition. The images should be ‘family friendly’ as they will be viewed by the general public, including children. The entrants must allow use of their images for publicity or similar uses in relation to the current or future Wirral Festival of Firsts. By entering images into the competition, the entrant accepts the completion rules.
Please complete the online entry form at www.festivaloffirsts.com and then follow the guidelines given below for sending in digital images.
The competition will be judged by members of the Hoylake Photographic Society and their decision is final.
