Building Bridges in Burnley is seeking to appoint an experienced Heritage Curator to work on an exciting 3 year creative heritage project Roots and Horizons, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The programme will explore, celebrate and sustain both the 25 year heritage of Building Bridges in Burnley and the heritage of our Grade II Listed venue as it is restored and repurposed for future generations. The Heritage Curator will be embedded in this heritage – collating, collecting, documenting, digitising and archiving this heritage to make it accessible for future generations.

We are looking for a heritage professional who has experience of delivering heritage projects with local communities and has a passion for heritage and community engagement. You will have experience of collating, documenting and digitising archive materials, curating exhibitions and delivering oral history projects. You will build strong relationships with project partners, heritage organisations and local historians and have the opportunity for professional development within the 3 year role.
