Exhibition opportunity- Art Activists Wanted

2018 is the 100th anniversary of the Representation of the People Act, in which all men and some women won the right to vote.

This monumental anniversary will be marked across the country, and PHM will be a leading voice in championing the heritage of the people that fought for this fundamental right.

From Saturday 2 June 2018 to Sunday 4 February 2019,  we will open our next exhibition Represent! Voices 100 Years at PHM.

We are looking for contributions for our exhibition on the theme of representation.

We all have a vote – but do we have a voice? How far have we really come in 100 years? PHM wants to hear your story. Do you feel represented? If so, how? If not, why? Share your story with us and make your voice heard. You can submit your response through any medium, including and not restricted to objects, artworks, banners, campaign material and photographs.

To make a submission to the Represent! Voices 100 Years On exhibition, please send a maximum of 200 word summary of your submission, alongside any relevant images, to by 14 April 2018.

If you have any queries or would like to discuss this further, please contact our programme lead Helen Antrobus on 0161 838 9190 or email
