CROSSING SECTORS TRAINING PROGRAMME
FREE TO PARTICIPATE
DEADLINE: 10 AM, MONDAY 11 MARCH
Crossing Sectors #4 is a professional development training programme, exploring the role of socially engaged photography with a variety of cross-sector and community partners. The programme will support practitioners to explore the multiple ways culture can be co-authored with others and questions where contemporary art and photography practice can exist in society today.
We have invited a host of specialist facilitators from across the cultural, health, youth, educational, environmental and community settings to share their knowledge and expertise, as well as hands-on training around equality, diversity and inclusion and safeguarding.
Each session will offer practical, methodological and ethical advice and this year we are excited to invite some of our Year 3 Crossing Sector programme attendees back to act as one-one mentors with the new cohort of participants.
The programme will take place online on Monday mornings from 15 April (10am – 1pm including breaks) until 1 July, with the last session being in person.
Guest speakers include Daniel Regan (Photographic Artist and Art and Health hub), Liz Postlethwaite (small things creative projects), Savannah Dodd (Photographer and Photo Ethics Centre), Helena Lee (Redeye Photography Network), Ayo Barley (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion specialist), Suzanne St Clare (socially engaged photographer), Paul Thomas (Carer. Former General Practitioner, Professor University West London and Chair of the Community-Oriented Integration Network), Liz Wewiora and Anna Wijnhoven (Social practice, School and young people’s team at Open Eye Gallery) and Emma Curd (Learning Producer at Heart of Glass)
