Burnley Canal Festival (27th + 28th August 2016) is a 2 day celebration of the Bicentenary Year of the Leeds Liverpool Canal, supported by Super Slow Way and delivered by Mid Pennine Arts and Deco Publique.
The event will expand to take in 3 spaces including the Inn on the Wharf, Sandygate Square and Finsley Gate Wharf as well as routes along the towpath. Families will enjoy live music, unique performances, art installations, making workshops, interactive dances, a mooring of barges, wonderful food, a craft marketplace, and much more.
Craft market pitches are available to makers of art, design and craft products, as well as food produce.
Workshop artists are also encouraged to send proposals of family friendly craft activities fitting to the ‘Slow Boat to Burnley theme’.
Trading hours are 11am till 5pm and are charged at the following rates:
Craft/Art/Design pitches from £30
Food Concession Pitches from £60
Workshop fees to be agreed upon proposal
