We are looking for an artist who can complete a short community collaboration project in Rochdale with a mural artwork as an output.

This is a call out for a mural artist to work with us on developing a design for a community artwork at HMP Buckley Hall in Rochdale as part of a collaboration between GOOP (Greener On the Outside of Prisons). GOOP is a health and wellbeing programme that facilitates the delivery of a joined-up whole prison approach to nature-based and environmental initiatives.
The Co-operative Heritage Trust will be running some sessions to link the prisoners and prison visiting families to a greening project in the Town Centre at Rochdale Pioneers Museum and are looking for an artist who can work with the ideas coming out of the prison sessions to create an public artwork which links the two sites.
This is a short-turn around commission based on painting a mural artwork without scaffolding at the prison site and a digital version which can be reproduced in printed form at the museum site as part of a developing project.
