Gary Blythe is an illustrator and painter from Wirral with an impressive reputation and his first children’s picture book, The Whales’ Song, written by American author, Dyan Sheldon, won the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1990, for “distinguished illustration in a book for children”.
The exhibition demonstrates, not only Gary’s skill in illustrating for adult and children’s books but also his own surreal paintings, drawings, and realistic portraits. The exhibition captures the range of his work and his imagination.
