Three displays to celebrate Rushton’s life; highlighting his key achievements using writings, pictures and artefacts from his life.
Edward Rushton was Liverpool’s most implacable anti-slavery abolitionist, human rights activist and pioneer for disability rights (although often overlooked by historians). We are joining forces with cultural and educational institutions across the city to celebrate his extraordinary life and to continue his legacy of activism with a series of events:
