RED MEETS BLUE AS LFC OPEN PHOTO GALLERY AT THE BLUECOAT
Liverpool Football Club is opening its first photographic print exhibition space, located in the Bluecoat on Saturday 14 May.
‘The Reds Gallery at the Bluecoat’ provides an opportunity for fans and visitors to the city to immerse themselves in specially selected Liverpool FC themes in Liverpool city centre’s historic and creative hub.
The Reds Gallery will be free to enter and open seven days a week, with the first exhibition celebrating key personnel involved in the legendary LFC Boot Room.
Tom Cassidy, Commercial Tourism Manager at LFC, said: “The Reds Gallery at the Bluecoat will provide a much requested City Centre tourist connection for the club. Having decided on the idea a while back we then had to find a venue and the Bluecoat, with its history, culture and location, fits the bill perfectly.
“We are very excited at the potential of this project as there’s huge cross-over between the two organisations and potential exhibition ideas. Visitors can expect a vibrant and entertaining experience which will appeal to non football fans of all ages, in addition to our loyal followers.”
The Reds Gallery will change exhibition every three months. Visitors can expect to see some alternative pieces influenced by acclaimed artists as well as revealing pictures taken by award winning photographer Steve Hale, who followed Liverpool FC for over 30 years.
