Earlier this year Liverpool’s Not Just Collective staged their exhibition, Objections to considerable acclaim at Liverpool’s Arena Gallery. The show comprised the work of twelve artists; with photography, sculpture, video and painted works, all exploring the theme of protest whether in a political or personal context. Not Just Collective is affiliated with Liverpool Biennial, the UK of Contemporary Art, and was formed by artists who volunteered at the festival in 2012.
More Than or Equal to provides a platform for a collaborative exchange between Manchester and Liverpool, we are excited for the exchange to challenge artistic practice by taking it away from its comfort zone and placing it somewhere new.

The preview will include music and poetry from Liverpool and Manchester performers.
