Neil Keating
Neil has been working as a Freelance Illustrator since 2004. Studied at Liverpool John Moores University, where HE gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. He is currently working from his studio at the Bluecoat. His current works focus on a variety of commercial works including public and Private Installations, Drawing, Print Making, Character Design, Graphic Novels, Editorial Illustration and Children’s Books.
I am currently exhibiting in the View Two Gallery as part of the ‘Local Heroes’, exhibition. I have also been selected to exhibit in the Bluecoats ’Next Up’, exhibition at the end of the year. As part of my practice I conduct monthly graphic novel workshops that explores sequential illustration teaching the fundamental skills of illustrated storytelling. I have worked on a variety of community based projects, most recently Liverpool’s ‘Big Draw’, working at the Tate and the Bluecoat to create Liverpool’s longest fairytale.
To further my artistic practice I perform live art shows, most recently ’Paint Jam’, at Creamfields. Body art at Korova Bar, and illustration in response to music performed at the Bluecoat.

Premiere of Stephens The Portrait Redefined including the “Fire Dancers” Collection, including the “Fire Dancers” which will be Exhibiting in Berlin in 2009. This collection has only just been completed.
