If you are interested in learning new skills and hearing from interesting speakers all in one evening, come along to Metal at Edge Hill Station for the next instalment of their quarterly Future Station meetings for 2014.
If you are an artist or work in an organisation involved in arts related activity or you are generally interested in the arts, Metal’s Future Station meeting is a great opportunity not only to meet other artists and like-minded people but also to learn new skills.
Please feel most welcome to drop by in to the Future Station session on ‘Goal Setting for Artists’ with Kelvin Okafor at 6pm to learn something new, useful and practical. Alternatively, just come from 7pm to hear 3 minute wonder presentations from local artists and performers followed by a talk and discussion with Henry Pulp from Liverpool based record label and creative movementMilk Presents.Â
Kelvin Okafor studied at City & Guilds and graduated from Middlesex University with a B.A. (Hon)s in Fine Art. Working in the genre of photo-realism Kelvin aspires to capture his subjects as vividly as he sees them and with as much emotion as his heart feels toward them. Kelvin will be delivering a session on ‘goal setting for artists’ he believes that, as human beings we have all been blessed with special innate gifts. Being mediocre about them is like having the ability to fly but you would rather walk. He believes in the unbelievable and is inspired with the idea of pushing yourself to a level beyond the norm. It’s learning process. There’s no limits or boundaries to how far our gifts and talents can take us.
The Future Station meeting will end as usual with an opportunity to network, meet some lovely people and to share some delicious food.
