A selling exhibition of art and designer/maker collectible pieces made by members of the Guild residing in Lancashire. The members of the Art and Craft Guild will be returning to the Gibberd Room in the Metropolitan Cathedral once again for their Biennial Exhibition.

There will be a great variety of work on show.  Art and photography will be represented by works in acrylics and oils with vibrant landscapes and photographs of the British countryside and steam trains powering their way through different parts of northern England. Ceramics will be represented by several potters all with their own style, showing small pieces right up to larger statement vessels from the delicate to the rustic. Our furniture maker will be showing signature pieces from large functional furniture to beautiful boxes designed to hold jewellery or one’s treasures.

There will be work by several jewellery designers presenting necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets. Some of the pieces will be made with hand lamped glass beads in a myriad of colours. Other pieces will be made from silver links. One of our designers will be showing her range of contemporary pieces made from gold and silver. Glass will also be represented in pieces that can be hung on the wall or placed as a decorative piece in any room of the house.

Textiles will be represented in several forms. There will be silk painted, batiked, felted, woven and patchwork pieces in the form of bags, scarves, jewellery that can be used as fashion accessories.
