Sgt. Pepper Show 20101 November 2010 until further notice (EXTENDED)
Solo show by Frances Walden-Jones giving her own interpretation, in acrylic paint on canvas, to the songs of the Beatles album ‘Sgt.Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’.
There is a painting for the opening of the ‘Sgt Pepper Show’, a painting for the closing of the show and a painting for each song in between.
The wildly imaginative and colourful lyrics of the Sgt. Pepper album are great fun to re-create on canvas.
With each painting I have used ‘Ribbons of colour’ to depict the fantastical dream-like quality of the songs.
