Emma Worth – ‘An exhibition’Â
“The artwork presented it this exhibition is a selection of my interests and what I find inspiring. This includes people I know, places I have visited and a keen interest of mine since I was a child, animals.

I mostly use oil paint as my preferred medium, creating fine detail with small brushes. I like to find an image that I feel would be a challenge and recreate it using oil mixed with liquin. I am inspired by a lot of things but I find the animal kingdom fascinating.
While painting I try to convey a human like representation of an animal that I see within nature itself. My artworks are life studies, I enjoy exploring details such as the texture of skin and fur.
Portraits are my favourite subject as each individual is different and I find it interesting to bring out the personality of each sitter through paint and canvas. Recently I have enjoyed painting in black and white and focusing on shadows and how changing the light can manipulate the final overall emotion of the painting.”
