A unique documentary about typography, design and global visual culture. The film looks at the proliferation of one typeface and considers how typography affects our lives. Helvetica features world-renowned designers discussing their work, the creative process, and the decisions behind their uses of type.

Take a closer look at the words around you everyday and discover how and why their typography was created and why Helvetica is so ubiquitous.

The screening will be followed by a panel made up of artists and designers who will be discussing the use of typefaces in their practice, in both the analogue and digital worlds!

Part of the film programme for the Type Motion exhibition
