Bringing together artists from around the country – 8 years on from setting up the first Arts Organisation venture, 491 Gallery Sustainable Community Regeneration Art Project in Leytonstone, East London, a collection of founding members and artists bring together a diverse show.
Fine art, sculpture, sound, illustration, textiles, photography, and performance. This group of artists met at the infamous 491 Gallery – featured on Richard and Judy breakfast television – and have exhibited at galleries throughout the country including …… Delamore, Greenaway, and The Mythic Gardens.
491 Gallery spear-headed the creative art-movement in London, making use of otherwise empty property, and transforming it into vibrant creative community resource. Under the aegis of The Art Organisation – currently occupying 9 properties throughout Liverpool, as well as a whole street in Nottingham just outside the station, hundreds of artists have been offered studio space and exhibition space.
