Photographers’ talk:Â Thursday 13 June 18.00 – 19.30
Processing is an exhibition of new work by Merseyside based photographers Kevin Casey, Stephen King and McCoy Wynne.
Each photographer will present new works from three significant documentary photography projects in advanced stages of development. To encourage critical dialogue and new artistic outcomes, collaborations have been instigated between the photographers and writersJoni Karanka, Linda Pittwood and Kenn Taylor.
Processing is a challenge and opportunity for the photographers to test new ideas and enter into critical discussion: a process that could potentially change the trajectory of these ‘works in progress’. A free newspaper, which was successfully crowdfunded, will support the exhibition and showcase newly commissioned texts by the writers.
Processing been supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
The project has been coordinated by Jack Welsh and is part of the Parallel Programme of the LOOK/13 International Photography Festival.
