The Fairytale of Burscough Bridge

An exhibition celebrating the recent award winning transformation of Burscough Bridge with BCA Landscape Architects and Smiling Wolf Design Consultancy.
Local consultation and research into Burscough’s unique history provided the creative catalyst for a sensitive and imaginative scheme, heralded as one of the most inventive regeneration projects of recent years.
The exhibition includes work integral to the design process including The Fairytale of Burscough Bridge book and an animation that brings the characters of Lancashire folklore to life. The scheme combined traditional techniques such as stonemasonry with contemporary design, resulting in a celebration of the rich history and cultural identity of the town.
