Camp and Furnace: Postcards from the Edges

5 – 10 November 2013

FreeEight months ago, we asked people a question:

What do you want to tell the world?

We wanted anyone who cared about disability or mental health to tell the world what mattered to them, using just a blank postcard and a little imagination.

And they answered in their hundreds. The result is a kaleidoscope of different experiences and voices: http://www.postcardsfromtheedges.org.uk/postcard/3404

A new and exciting free art exhibition exploring life and disability in the 21st century. Created by national disability charity United Response, the project features extraordinary artwork from people across the North West, the rest of the UK and beyond. This exhibition takes place after successful shows in London, Newcastle and Bristol.

Liverpool-based Eileen Molloy will see her unique artwork featured as part of a free national exhibition. Eileen submitted her artwork to Postcards from the Edges, a project created by national disability charity United Response in a bid to build on the Paralympic Games legacy from last year.

The project turns the spotlight from disabled people’s sporting achievements to their creative ones and has been launched as part of the charity’s 40-year anniversary.

Get involved:

Postcards can be created on the Postcards website or submitted via post.
