Latin Liverpool although not identified by one particular geographical location has its space and influence in the spiritual heart of the city which adds to the cities cultural melting pot.

LATIN LIVERPOOL By having the geographical location of being a seaport Liverpool has always attracted people from all over the world. During the lead up to Liverpool’s Capital of Culture status their was mention of Liverpool’s Latin Quarter.

In Liverpool we have many Latin American and Spanish restaurants, we have the Latin Music venues and like some Northern Spanish Cities share the Celtic cultural heritage. The recent Taste of Spain Festival in Liverpool, the people from all over the Hispanic world who have chosen to live in the city, the love of football and the Spanish and Latin American players and the influence of particularly the Spanish avant garde artist that can been seen in some of our local artists work.

There does not appear to be a geographical part of the city that has a totally dedicated latin quarter such as the type of quarter that Liverpool’s Chinese population have, or areas that we see in cities such as New York in the USA have. One thing is for certain Latin Liverpool although not identified by one particular geographical location has its space and influence in the spiritual heart of the city which adds to the cities cultural melting pot.
