18 September – 28 November 2010
Retouched will consist of art that attempts to affect the viewer and move them through a journey, crossing a border into the realm of spirit, imagination and thought in the time and space of mind, body and soul in the oneness and connectedness of all. Artists: Peter Barker, George Lund and others.
George’s “Chinese Arch” takes the viewer beyond the vibrant chinese arches and into a surreal realm of cloudscapes and sky dragons whilst Peter’s “Bicycle Riders” attempts to allow the viewer to realise that all things move through and live in one world of beauty and if we wake up and feel and see it as so then the viewer will be ‘touched’ by their own situation of mind, body and soul.
Neil’s ideas for an arching green bridge crossing a pool of reflections carries the viewer into the forest of nature .
These and other paintings will develop to form a corridor that the viewer will have to walk through in order to enter the LCAD building.
