Critical Run 1 – Can Art Touch a City

You must be joking! Running and debating at the same time. Think I’ll watch online – pity the poor camera operator.

Critical Running is a debating format conceived by the Danish French artist Thierry Geoffroy (also known for his Emergency Room at P.S.1/MOMA). In a collapsing world (he suggests) we cannot continue to sit and sleep through conferences or make small talk at openings. New forms of critical debate have to be activated. Running through the city, participants can train their awareness muscles on a journey that will leave them breathless but invigorated. Critical Runs have taken place all over the world: Moscow, Naples, Cairo, Brussels, Rotterdam, Barcelona, Venice, Lyon, New York, London, Istanbul, Athens, Paris, Hanoi, Siberia, Copenhagen, Stockholm.

Run, before it’s too late!….

Each run will last for approximately 25 minutes and will be at an easy running level and speed. Please be aware that each run will be filmed.
