Not strictly biennial this but as I was approaching the Albert Dock yesterday I thought my old friend the superlambbanana had been vandalised. When I got close up I saw that I was correct!
Maybe I’m taking this too seriously, the sculpture was meant to be funny after all, but bananas should be yellow (though mine are often black). In the past this has been painted pink then black & white. Now its being used like an advertising hoarding for a not very inspiring logo.
Will all these 08 signs be sticking around for the next four years I wonder.
