I’ve been quiet for a couple of days. I do have things to report but I’m going out again soon so they will have to wait.
Meanwhile, apologies for being off-topic but I’m really sad about the death of John Peel He was so much more than just a ‘Radio 1 DJ’. Before the world of mp3, internet downloading etc. he was just about the only source of alternative music for old hippies like me. Don’t think he was into fine art but the only times I saw him live was supporting and presenting gigs by Liverpool poets & musicians at places like the Everyman in the early 70s. How will the BBC ever replace him?
