Sign Up for Long Night – 18 Nov 2010

Via Open Culture

Light Night back in May saw the city come alive with over 92 events and activities happening all on one night, and we’re looking forward to doing it all over again for it’s winter counterpart Long Night.

long-night-2010

Thursday 18 November 2010 will see over 50 Liverpool venues staying open late into the night, encouraging people of all ages to celebrate the city and it’s culture by seeing it in a different light.

A vast array of venues will be open late into the night showcasing a vibrant mix of arts and culture, late night shopping, walking tours and other special events and attractions, and we want everyone to be a part of the fun!

This year, Long Night coincides with the wonderful:

Liverpool Biennial

DaDaFest International

The Cornerstone Festival

Want to be part of Long Night 2010?

To put your event or activity forward to form part of the Long Night programme please fill in the online form at: http://tiny.cc/longnight2010

Deadline for submissions is Midnight 22 September 2010.  Thank you!

Your listing/s could be for an exhibition, screening, open studio (art or music), talk, tour, walk, workshop or performance – anything special and unusual happening on the evening of Thursday 18th November (4pm – late), indoor or outdoor under the broadest description of culture.

Already we have some great people and organisations signed up with the likes of Tate Liverpool, the Bluecoat, FACT, Liverpool Biennial and now it’s your turn.

Long Night will be heavily marketed online and in print with 1000’s of brochures, full listings on Open Culture www.culture.org.uk, and we have a dedicated press person pushing it far and wide. We’re encouraging every participating venue/organisation to promote heavily across their own websites, databases and social networking sites.

There is no cost to signing up to be part of Long Night, but there isn’t any funding to subsidise any extra costs you may have.

Want to come to Long Night 2010?

Put the date in your diary now… 4pm on Thursday 18th November… and eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Long Night guide hitting the streets closer to the time! You’ll be able to pick one up from any participating venues and you’ll also be able to download it from www.culture.org.uk

If you would like to receive email updates about Long Night you can also sign up for Open Culture event updates on the Sign Up page.
