Recycling Garston The Spirit of Garston Project

An art exhibition produced by ten schools in Garston

Schools: New Heys, St Benedicts, Gilmour Juniors,
Gilmour Infants, St Francis of Assisi, Springwood Heath,
Banks Road, St Austins, Garston C of E, Holy Trinity.

Exhibition will be opened/launched by

Coun Mike Storey Executive member for Cities Heritage and 800 anniversary celebrations
Lesley Thompson Head of South Liverpool Neighberhood Regeneration Team

Alex Jackson, Sue Wrigley, Gaynor Sweeney.

Private View—Tuesday 11 July 2006
Exhibition open from 6pm—9pm

Special performance at 7.30pm by the CPC (Child Parents Community Orchestra), based at St Austins, Garston, showcasing the musical talents of South Liverpool and Garston Communities, directed by Alex Costello.

Exhibition continues on 12 & 13 July 2006

The project, an artist in residency programme, encouraged the artistic talents and imagination of pupils, staff, and all involved. It aimed to raise awareness of recycling and its importance economically and environmentally with creative approaches to making art.
