RAPHAEL HEALTHCARE LAUNCHES LOVE YOURSELF PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
Raphael Healthcare is celebrating Mental Health Action Week with its touring ‘Love Yourself’ Photography Exhibition, attracting people from across Merseyside to view happiness from the perspective of women who have at some stage in their life suffered from mental health issues.
Following a unique collaboration with patients and community action groups including Forum Housing Association and Women Supporting Women, Raphael Healthcare is exhibiting a series of stimulating images that capture feelings of hope, beauty and happiness.
Each photograph has been captured by women who have experienced or suffer from mental health issues to promote self confidence and challenge stigmas surrounding mental health.
Arthur Robinson, Chief Executive of Raphael Healthcare, comments: “The Love Yourself Photography Exhibition brings together a collection of inspiring photographs that depict the simplicity of happiness through the eyes of women who have suffered from mental health issues at some stage of their life.
“The exhibition aims to increase awareness, within the Merseyside area, of mental health and personality disorders and promote well being and self confidence within the region.”
The free exhibition is open to the public for two days in St Helens before moving to Birkenhead Central Library for a further two days. The exhibition will relocate to Newark, Nottinghamshire, in May before returning to Merseyside for permanent display at Raphael Healthcare’s Head Office, Briars Hey in Rainhill.
Raphael Healthcare provides high quality services for women with a diagnosis of mental illness and/or personality disorders. It strives to provide the best care in high quality environments for patients and staff to enjoy.
