Global Studio at the Bluecoat

Promises to be a very interesting exhibition featuring several Liverpool-based artists along with artists from other parts of the Globe.

Performances will be taking place in gallery 1 throughout the preview and the Upstairs bistro will remain open until 10.00pm

Exhibition continues until Sun 20 June, open daily 10.00am – 6.00pm

Showcasing the work of Liverpool artists who have forged international networks outside the city. Artists were invited to develop exhibition proposals, resulting in five different yet connected displays by artists from Austria, Bolivia, China, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Pakistan and Peru, as well as the UK, working in printmaking, video, painting and installation. Including work by:

*Sadia Salim’s residency and installation is part of Between Kismet and Karma: South Asian women artists respond to conflict, a partnership between the University of Leeds and Shisha, the international agency for contemporary South Asian crafts and visual arts. The programme is delivered in collaboration with the Bluecoat, Cornerhouse, Gasworks, Leeds City Art Gallery, the Southbank Centre and Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
