Get Hopping to National Museums Liverpool This Easter
An egg-splosion of free family fun at National Museums Liverpool will keep everyone occupied during the Easter holidays. Free family events.
Walker Art Gallery
This Easter the Walker Art Gallery is one of four cultural venues across Liverpool included in Liverpool’s Crackin’ Easter Trail, an opportunity for super-sleuths of all ages to get creative, crack the clues and be in with a chance of winning £500 or one of the cultural gifts on offer. The event runs from 3 -11 April 2010
From Saturday 20 March visitors can pick up the trail from either the Walker or Lady Lever Art Gallery as well as the other participating venues.
The trail is also available for download from National Museums Liverpool’s website: www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk or by email info@culture.org.uk
Once you have your trail you can earn your stamps by taking part in the free activities and solve the clues inside the four great venues. In addition with every stamped Crackin’ Easter Trail you can gain 10% discount in the participating cafes or shops.
Liverpool’s Crackin’ Easter Trail is an Culture Liverpool and Open Culture initiative. The partner venues are Bluecoat, FACT, Tate Liverpool and Walker Art Gallery.

Easter Hats
5 & 6 April 2010

Many of the paintings in the gallery feature people with all sorts of hats or bonnets. Be inspired by paintings such as Millais’ Isabella and create your own stylish headwear.
Treasure boxes
7 & 8 April 2010

Our Craft and Design Gallery is home to an array of treasures. Use the colours, shapes and textures on display to help you decorate your own mini treasure box with beautiful jewels and other collage materials.
Horsey, horsey
9 & 10 April 2010

This fun workshop is inspired by artist George Stubbs who was probably most famous for his paintings of horses. To mark the Grand National design your very own jockey silks.
