Ooh, lot’s of good stuff coming to Hope University’s Capstone Theatre this Spring. Including an exhibition from the Bluecoat Display Centre and a Singh Twins event.
The programme for Spring consists of around 40 performances/events beginning with a concert by Canadian keyboard maverick Chilly Gonzales on Wednesday 9 February. The programme continues with a Jazz series headlined by the legendary Courtney Pine (Sunday 13 March) and a Folk series featuring Kathryn Williams (Saturday 19 March) and Martin Simpson (Wednesday 30 March).
Elsewhere in the programme are collaborative events and performances in association with FACT, The Royal Northern College of Music, Merseyside Dance Initiative, Liverpool Primary Care Trust, and Milapfest. There will also be a broadcast of BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions? from the Theatre on Friday 18 March. Two plays, Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie (3-5 March) and The Orchard (based on Chekov’s The Cherry Orchard) (5-7 May) will also be staged at the venue.
Full details of all performances can be found in the brochure and also at the web site – www.thecapstonetheatre.com. You can purchase tickets for Capstone events on-line at this site or directly at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall Box Office (Hope Street, Liverpool) on 0151 709 3789.
