Artwork of the Week – Two Opinions

Liverpool artwork of the week 2009-33. ‘Two Opinions’ by Emma Kemp and Christopher Murray in ‘Black and White in the Grey Area‘ at Wolstenholme Projects 21-31 August 2009

One of several interesting works in the latest show. You can get close up and look into the eyes of the sculpted heads to see whats inside. looks like these two guys had differing opinions, maybe even a tug of war judging by all that rope.

Also drop in on Saturday 29 August from 12noon – 18.00, for special event as David Lakein, in association with FoolÂ’s Proof Theatre, will bring the exhibition to life with an exciting workshop in composition and performance.

A contemporary collaborative exhibition between Nottingham based studio group Backlit and Liverpool studio group Wolstenholme Projects.  Backlit bring Black and White a literal aesthetic exploration of the colours black and white to Wolstenholme Projects who conceptually investigate the concept of grey.  Black and White in the Grey Area fuses the two approaches in an exhibition spanning over two gallery levels.
