FIREWORKS for Liverpool’s 800th Birthday – August 28 2007

To see out Liverpool 800th birthday celebrations with a bang Tuesday 28 August will see Liverpool stage one of the biggest fireworks display the city has ever seen.

The spectacular display will light up the Liverpool sky at 10pm on 28 August and will be co-ordinated to a soundtrack of music broadcast live on Radio City.

The Display has been designed so that it is predominantly aerial and will be able to be viewed from across the City Centre and beyond.

The fireworks will be fired from the Metropolitan Cathedral, Anglican Cathedral and Liverpool’s Pier Head

The recommended viewing areas are as follows:
Hope Street
Great George Street
Brownlow Hill
Upper Duke Street
Upper Parliament Street
Mount Pleasant
Prince’s Parade
The Strand (South of James St)
Everton Brow
