Bartos at Blackburne

Nicole Bartos has another solo exhibtion of her painitngs and ceramics in the Main Hall of Blackburne House. Its mostly the same work that was on show at the St Petersburg restaurant some months ago but it benefits from being in this large hall with its good natural light and white walls.
I took this picture of the conservatory next to the hall, its one of many interesting little details in this old building which was originally a private house built c1800 before becoming a girls school and now the Womens Technology College.
To view the artwork you just need to sign in at reception and check that the hall is not in use. There’s a very nice cafe/bar downstairs too.
