QUARRY, one of the city’s leading independent music and arts venues, announces its relocation to 45 Hardman Street, the former home of the legendary Magnet & Sink Club.
Following the closure of its original premises in May, the move marks an exciting new chapter for QUARRY, allowing it to expand its programming, enhance its live music offering, and continue supporting grassroots artists in a space with deep musical heritage.
Having originally established itself in Love Lane, QUARRY has built a strong reputation for curating cutting-edge live music, club nights, and LGBTQI+-centred events. The move to Hardman Street provides an opportunity to grow that vision in a venue with increased capacity and a city centre location. With a purpose-built basement ideal for live performances and multiple rooms allowing for a dedicated bar and event space, the new location retains the spirit of QUARRY while significantly expanding its potential.
In a joint statement, the team writes, “We recognise that this iconic site is steeped in history. We aim to acknowledge what has come before us while also adding something new… This is a grassroots project through and through, with musicians, artists and creatives coming together and doing the work to create a space for everyone to enjoy.’
QUARRY’s relocation ensures Liverpool continues to have a thriving, independent space for music lovers and artists alike. Opening is expected in Autumn 2025, for regular updates and information follow on instagram @quarryliverpool and head to quarrysound.co.uk – QUARRY’s fundraiser for the project can also be found here
