Celebrating 21 years of the Oxton Art Fair, a much-loved event that has grown into one of Wirral’s most vibrant showcases of local creativity, the artists and coordinators behind the event will return to Williamson Art Gallery & Museum for 2025.
This year, twenty-four talented artists and makers – including eight exciting guest artists – will once again transform the Williamson into a lively gallery filled with painting, printmaking, ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, mixed-media and more. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, explore their work, and perhaps find that special piece to take home.
With the festive season just around the corner, OAF is also the perfect place to discover thoughtful, handcrafted Christmas gifts – unique, creative, and all made with love.
Oxton Artists, the group that coordinate the event, was founded in 2004 by a group of friends who were aware there was a core of artists residing in the area. With artists formerly of the area returning from overseas and newcomers attracted to the community atmosphere and picturesque village, the Oxton Art Fair was born.
Since then, it has held its annual November Oxton Art Fair event at the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum. All of the member-artists and craftspeople have connections to and/or live in Oxton and exhibit regularly in the North West, some nationally and a few internationally.
Last year, the event welcomed over 1700 visitors, exemplifying that Oxton Art Fair, and Oxton as a hub for creatives, continues to stay fresh, innovative, and inspirational for everyone who visits.
So whether you love to browse, buy, or chat with the artists, there are 21 years of creativity, community, and craftsmanship to celebrate at the event this year.
