Warrington Gallery Nominated for Prestigious Award

Python Properties and Python Arts have been recognised as one of the top three partnerships within the A&B Corporate Responsibility Award category for the positive impact the strategy has had on the community.  The partnership demonstrates that collaborations between the arts and business sectors continue to drive new and exciting arts initiatives throughout the UK.

One strand of Python Arts is The Gallery at Bank Quay House that regularly hosts inspiring and innovative exhibitions in Warrington. The gallery has been established for three years now and regularly displays work from up and coming artists in the North West. They also play a big part in the annual Contemporary Arts Festival which is taking place across Warrington later in the year.

Emma Kelly, Head Curator of Python Arts said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive a nomination in the Arts & Business Awards.  Dedicated to celebrating the work of North West artists, we aim to engage the community in creative arts expression in our approachable, inspiring and relaxing galleries.”

The Arts & Business Awards in partnership with Jaguar Land Rover celebrate the finest partnerships between the commercial and cultural sectors.  This year, over 100 partnerships entered across the 7 award categories.  The awards will take place in London on 14 May and shortlisted in the other categories includes Louis Vuitton’s sponsorship of digital art for young people in south London. Harry Winston and the V&A are up for the Sponsorship Award, alongside BP’s support of the National Portrait Gallery and BSkyB’s investment in innovative works at Tate Liverpool.
