North West Closes Friday 10 June 2011 Paid (£10k-15k pro rata) Part time

Manchester based visual artist, Elizabeth Wewiora is looking to invite three North West based artists for one afternoon each, to her artist residency running this summer.

The residency is part of a major new project, ‘Allotment Diaries & Environmental Hubs’ and takes place between July and September on the Bradley Fold Allotment Site, Didsbury, Manchester. Elizabeth will be swapping her studio space for an allotment shed and engaging with the community of Bradley Fold to make new photo and video works.

As part of her public engagment, Elizabeth would like to invite three other local aritsts to the site to meet with the community, talk through ideas about her work and also perhaps make some of their own work in response to the allotment environment and people they meet. Ideally these visits will take place in August on Sundays, as the plot is busiest on this day and open to the public Sunday mornings. For more information about the project you can visit the blog and artist’s website: www.elizabethwewiora.com and www.environmental-hubs.blogspot.com

This is a paid opportunity for a half day artist fee, plus local travel costs will be covered. If you are interested please contact the artist for more information.
