The 2007 Turner Prize will be presented at Tate Liverpool, the first time the prize has been held outside London since its launch in 1984.
A curtain-raiser for Liverpool European Capital of Culture 2008, the Turner Prize exhibition will feature the work of four shortlisted British artists at Tate Liverpool’s Albert Dock Gallery.
Public nominations are now open, giving you the chance to have your say on who appears on the shortlist.
Your chosen artist must be under the age of 50 and British, which in this case applies to all artists working in the UK and to British-born artists who may be working abroad. They also need to have had an outstanding exhibition or display in the 12 months preceding 1 May 2007.
You can make a nomination online at www.tate.org.uk/liverpool/exhibitions/turnerprize2007.
The deadline for nominations is 14 April 2007.
All suggestions will be considered by the Jury for inclusion on the Turner Prize 2007 shortlist which will be announced on 8 May 2007 in the national press and online.
