Turner Prize 2007 Winner – Mark Wallinger

No big surprise that Mark Wallinger is the winner of this year’s Turner Prize at Tate Liverpool.
He was the obvious favourite, not so much for the work on show here ‘Sleeper’ but for his ‘State Britain’ at Tate Britain earlier in the year, the work for which he was nominated.
Also he has produced a good body of work over the years, has been nominated before and in a couple of years will be too old to win the Turner as the age limit is 50.

It was a surprise though to see me and Mrs J in the intro piece on Channel4 News, that must have been filmed at the press view way back in October, we had no idea we’d be on. So you think they would have invited us to the awards ceremony wouldn’t you!
