One of the biggest TV ads ever was broadcast this evening and it was all filmed in Liverpool.
Hovis is 122 years old so the ad covers 122 years in 122 seconds of film. The marching soldiers scenes were filmed in Falkner Street, we watched some of the filming in July as its close to where we live.
The street party and miners strike scenes took place in Garston.
The producers reckon that Liverpool is the only place where you’d find all the types of settings required and they were delighted with the outcome.
A shorter version will be shown over the next few months but you can watch it online here
