The Bombed Out Church – Public Consultation, Show Your Support

The Bombed Out Church – St Luke’s in Liverpool is closing after 29 August 2015 for planned 3 months essential maintenance work.

What happens next us up to you.

Make sure you have your say in the Public Consultation which Liverpool Council have launched.

We have enjoyed many great events and art installations by local and international artists here over the years. Ambrose and the team have been brilliant, heroic custodians but may now be in danger of being pushed aside after they hand over the keys.

See their statement below and complete the online survey. Please don’t forget to mention the current ‘Bombed Out Church’ group in the comment boxes at the end of the survey.

We’re delighted that Liverpool City Council have launched their online public consultation, allowing you to express your opinion regarding the continued use of St Luke’s.

However, in order for us to re-open in the new year its essential for you to participate in the online survey and back the activities which we organise within the church.

Our objective has always been to run the church in a way which is complementary to the wishes and interests of the city’s people. Our long term plan for the space is to secure its continued status as a living war memorial visitor centre and cultural venue; through the organisation of community based projects, art installations, and cultural events.

Visit our website – www.bombedoutchurch.com for information on how to complete the survey and lend your support.

Thank you.
