Due to the fantastic response we’ve had to our tenant recruitment launch and the continued interest we are receiving from potential retail, creative business and artist tenants, we are extending the deadline for tenancy applications to Friday 21st September, 5.30pm.
On re-opening in early 2008, the Bluecoat will house a vibrant community of creative people – artists, performers, writers, crafts people, creative businesses and retailers – all committed to using their emerging talent to innovate and excel.
Together they will break down traditional barriers between creator and consumer, involving and exciting visitors.
The £12.5m redevelopment of the Bluecoat includes the addition of a new arts wing, four new galleries, a 200-seat performance space, and the complete restoration of the building and garden. The building will be equipped with 6 retail units, 13 creative industry offices and 13 artists’ studios.
As commercial, creative industry and artistic space in the city centre is at a premium, the Bluecoat is offering a unique and central environment for artists, retailers and creative businesses to base themselves.
