The city centre should be a bit noisy on Monday afternoon as ‘a cacophony of sound from the bells of the city’ takes place from 13.40 onwards – Monday April 23 2007. Its part of St George’s day and Liverpool’s 800th anniversary and the re-opening of St George’s Hall etc.
1.40pm-2.40pm – Symphony for St George – Liverpool Symphony of Bells
On leaving the Hall, His Royal Highness will be invited to ring eight bells to start the city-wide symphony which incorporates all major church, civic bells as well as ships’ bells and cannon – including the deepest sounding bell in the UK – Great George in Anglican Cathedral.
