Much as I love the Superlambanana, it won’t be the end of the world if it leaves Liverpool because the artist wants to sell it and we can’t afford it. There’s loads of local artists with skills and inventiveness to fill the void. Here’s one example…
SLINKWALKERS AT THE PEOPLES CENTRE
NEW SCULPTOR RAY FALLON
Green, Amber and Blue. What are they? Were do they come from? And more importantly have they any money?
Ray Fallon’s “Slinkwalkers” have come to join in the fun at Liverpool 08. Striding down town from The Peoples Centre Gallery.
Ray discovered his passion for sculpting five years ago, developing his own style without any formal training. Originally working in cardboard and plywood, exhibiting in Ormskirk, Liverpool, Crosby and Kirkby.
“Slinkwalkers” is Ray first major work in metal. A service engineer by day he has spent all his free time over the past year making the “Slinkwalkers” a reality.
Ray said “ Just fitting them people have been stopping and staring. Especially the kids. One even said they were cool.”
