Words by Sinead Nunes, Editor

The UK’s largest free celebration of African music and culture
returns to Liverpool this Summer. This year;s festival takes place from Saturday 20 – Sunday 21 June 2015, so be sure to save the date in your diaries.

Named “the best festival of African and Caribbean music in Britain” by The Sunday Times, you won’t want to miss what the team have lined up for audiences this year.

Expect the finest artists from across Africa, the Caribbean and beyond in addition to the much-loved and rather eclectic ‘Oyé Village’ featuring an array of traders, workshops and kids entertainment to keep Sefton Park buzzing throughout the festival weekend.

Dubbed “The jewel in Liverpool’s festival crown” by local music magazine Bido Lito, we’re already planning our stay-cation in the city.

Africa Oyé 2015 will take place in Liverpool’s Sefton Park, and as always entrance will be totally free for all. To keep up to date as the line-up is announced, check the website, which promises more details will be revealed soon.
