Yes, Beatles Day is a really naff idea but at least it got us out with the camera and we spent a lovely afternoon at the Pier Head where the Duck Race took place on the new canal to raise funds for the Claire House Appeal. Before that we saw foolish people abseiling down Liverpool Cathedral and the Liver Building and the Liverpool Ukulele Orchestra performed several Beatles numbers in Zeligs restaurant in Liverpool ONE.
It was nice to see the Pier Head area buzzing again and we’ll be back next weekend for the first of this years ‘On the Waterfront‘ festivals.
