Don’t know why this couldn’t have been ready for the start of 2009 but better late than never. Designed by Finch who were responsible for the 08 branding and you can see the similarities so it does sort of follow on from previous years.
I’m always reluctant to be too harsh about designer’s output as they generally come up with much better stuff than I could do myself but there’s already a fair bit of criticism flying around the internet.
I didn’t exactly say ‘Wow!’ when I saw it but I believe it does come in other colours – lets hope the red is a bit more vibrant and I’m pleased it doesn’t have a cheesy strapline such as ‘The UK’s 3rd favourite city’
