Congratulations to Nathan Pendlebury.
A development the size of Liverpool One should have a massive amount of artworks commissioned by local artists but this is the first on I’ve heard of so far. Any more?

One of Merseyside’s up and coming artists (that’s Nathan) will have some of his artwork showcased in the new John Lewis branch in Liverpool, opening next week. The work on display was commisioned and produced especially for display in the Espresso Bar.

Margaret Jacques, managing director of John Lewis in Liverpool says: ‘John Lewis has a long standing commitment to developing art to enhance the shopping experience, and our customers have expressed a lot of interest in the pieces displayed in other shops across the country.’

The new John Lewis shop opens its doors for the first time to customers at 10am on Thursday 29 May.
