South Bohemia Art Gallery Massive Clearout Sale – Affordable Art!
Artwork for Sale from £1

South Bohemia Art Gallery are clearing out all their old stock and will be having an affordable art sale to held each Saturday from 11 August 2007 at 14.00 in the back Gallery room and continue until the stock is cleared. Work for sale will be from £1 – £50, so ensure you nab a bargain.

The sale feature artwork by local artists Jo Derbyshire, Michelle Campbell, Peter Worthington, John Bridson, Rachel Jones, Alison Gone, Jamie Hernon, Eric Heines, Mike Gannon and Alison Carling plus others. Derbyshire recently has recently had her art included in the upcoming ‘Transvoyeur Legacy Project’, an collection of art for permanent contemporary display at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital (Liverpool, England). Campbell has recently been commissioned for her distinct and unique illustrations.

The Director of the South Bohemia Café Gallery, Peter Worthington, stated:

“We now have new Curators in the gallery and since the recent article on nudes in the Daily Post and Liverpool Echo and the possibility of us losing our drinks licence, they will bring onboard their curatorial expertise to platform contemporary art that is innovative and professional. The group of Curators have already researched and marketed the space and I believe we are fully booked for the next year.
Things look promising. As part of the revamp and new energy and vision brought forward by the Curators, this sale of the existing stock forms part of these changes. Many of the upcoming artists are from outside the city of Liverpool, which is good. This little gallery is attracting attention nationally, which is what I always wanted
